JEBCA was founded on December 11, 1983 as a faith-based cultural and charitable organization that served the community of Carrefour, Port-au-Prince as well as surrounding towns and villages. JEBCA is now incorporated as a 501(c)3 organization in the United States under JEBCA Ministries, Inc and it is also registered with the Ministry of Social Affairs in Haiti under JEBCA D'Haiti.

Culture has been since 1983 what makes JEBCA, one of the surviving cultural icons, a beacon of light in the hearts and minds of so many people. Our membership roll is made up of successful professionals in every field of study.  In the 1980's and 1990's, literary and cultural organizations such as JEBCA, played a pivotal role in providing a forum for aspiring writers and intellectuals to develop literary skills and critical thinking while also creating an environment that nurtured strong ethics and excellence in all aspects of life. JEBCA is continuing this tradition through some innovative approaches such as:

  • JEBCA Editions
As a division of JEBCA Ministries, Inc., JEBCA Editions continues to foster and nurture excellence. We look for and we'll publish the best works from our authors.

  • JEBCA Micro-Finance
As a division of JEBCA Ministries, Inc., JEBCA Micro-Finance will work with people who are dreaming of owning a business or becoming self-reliant financially to acquire  the necessary financial and managerial skills to do so. We believe in a sustainable and self-reliant approach. We give a strong preference to investments in local products and services.

  • JEBCA Medical Outreach
We collect Medical & Surgical instruments from Boston Hospitals to distribute to Hospitals & Medical Clinics in Haiti. Through our division in Haiti, JEBCA D'HAITI, we locate Medical institutions where these instruments may be put to good use for a better care of the local population.

  • JEBCA Sports Outreach
We seek and make Sporting gears available to a few soccer teams in Haiti.

  • JEBCA Literary Corners
JEBCA is partnering with other institutions throughout Haiti and in the Diaspora to open a network of Literary Corners where people can meet to share ideas, discuss works of literature, and encourage existing and emerging authors.

  • Youth Summer Conference
Each summer, in Partnership with Foundation Marechal Mimi and Institut Pastoral d'Education et de Promotions Humaines (IPEPH), a youth conference takes place in Musac, La Vallee de Jacmel. The conference features successful Haitians who are primarily from the same town as role models. The speakers would trace their steps to a successful professional life and provide some insights into the meaning of success and how one could achieve it. The conference brings in at least 800 young people coming as far as Port-au-Prince.
We are also looking to partner with local organizations in other cities and towns to bring the conference to their local youths.
We seek volunteers who are willing and available to go Haiti to assist with the conference. If you are interested, please contact us.
  • Classical Education & Vocational Training
JEBCA plans to build a state of the art Educational facility on a 15 acre lot in Verrettes, Haiti.  Besides Classical Education, our focus will be on Vocational Trainings for the local population as well as adjacent towns and cities. The city of Verrettes is strategically located in the middle of the Artibonite region between Saint-Marc and Gonaives. It is surrounded by many other cities and towns that will benefit from our vocational trainings.
